Tranfer Malpensa – Milan in only 30 minutes

Do you land at Malpensa, but don’t you know how to reach the centre of Milan?

Here, there are some small suggestion to not lose valuable time and immediately reach the goal!

Just 45 km from the capital of Lombardy, in the north west of the city, Malpensa is the Milanese hub par excellence followed by Linate airport to which it is well connected by a bus service. Besides being the second Italian hub for intercontinental flights at Malpensa airport take off and land numerous national and international flights to Milan. While Terminal 2 is dedicated to charter flights and to some low cost airlines as easyJet, at Terminal 1 refers the majority of traditional and low cost airlines.

To reach Milan you can choose from the Malpensa Express, the Malpensa shuttle or the taxi, besides than renting a car. The major car rental companies are on the -1 floor of Terminal 1, opening hours daily from 07:30 to 23.30. Only Avis and Europecar are also at Terminal 2, at the arrivals area.

Transfert from/to Malpensa by train

The Malpensa Express provides a fast connection in about 30 minutes between the Terminal 1 and the Cadorna station, with trains every 30 minutes. The cost of one-way ticket is 11 euros for adults and 5.50 for children under 12 years. The Cadorna Station is a focal point of the city which is also a stop on the red and green line of the subway, which allows you to easily reach any area of Milan.

Tranfer from/to Malpensa by bus

The Malpensa Shuttle, departing from both terminals, connects the airport to the Milan Central Station in about an hour with stops, on request, during the fair events at the convention center and at the Milanocity fair. The races are scheduled every twenty minutes from 06:20 to 00:00, the cost of one way ticket is 7.00 euros, while the return ticket costs 12.00 euro. The Central Station is also a stop on the yellow and green line of the Milan metro system that allows you to reach the Old Town of Milan in about 10 minutes.

Transfer from to Malpensa by taxi

If you travel with lots of luggage and prefer the comfort of the taxi, you can refer to specific areas in which it is possible to find taxis at the arrival terminal. The ride from the airport to the centre of Milan is about 50 minutes, but it can vary according to the road network conditions, the average cost is about 80 euros!

If you make a stopover in Milan Malpensa Airport and then set off towards other destinations, you can select from a number of hotels with shuttle service to and from the airport free of charge or for a small extra charge!
