Ski holidays in Spain? Why not?

You can choose between the Northern, trendy areas of the Spanish Pyrenees, with Baqueira and Formigal as top resorts, boasting extensive, challenging ski areas. Baqueira is Spain’s largest and most fashionable resort, immensely popular among Spanish skiers, while Formigal, nestled in the Aragon region, has excellent facilities for beginners and experts alike, over 137km of marked pistes.
Otherwise, go down for the south and enjoy the sun-drenched slopes of the Sierra Nevada, with a vertical drop of 1,300 meters serviced by a total of 19 lifts, along with a well kept half pipe for snowboarders and some opportunity for freeriding.
You will be spoilt for choice with good quality accommodation options: from cost effective, yet functional ski in-ski out bases to sumptuous Spa hotels, something to suit all tastes. Moreover, no matter where you stay, the cuisine is excellent and allows you at any occasion to savor Spains’ mouthwatering specialties.
