Les 3 Vallees: get ready for the best Skiing and Snowboarding ever

Whether you enjoy skiing or snowboarding, Les 3 Valles, in the French Alps, is the largest interlinked ski and snowboard resort in the world, all linked together by 600 kms of interconnected slopes and 180 ski lifts.

In this area, skiers and snowboarders will enjoy limitless off-piste options, open powder filled bowls, massive cliff drops and tight challenging chutes, massive moguls, challenging tree skiing and snowboarding and seemingly endless groomed linking trails and gentle beginner areas. In short, something to suit all tastes.

Les 3 Vallees skiing and snowboarding area consists of three linking valleys: Courchevel on one side, Meribel in the middle and Val Thorens on the other side.

Skiing and snowboarding in the Courchevel Valley is definitely terrific. Here, you’ll find off-piste treeless powder bowls, steep chutes, cliff drops, intermediate groomed cruising trails and several beginner slopes. For your accommodation, the Courchevel Valley has four ski in ski out Villages all named after their altitudes; Courchevel 1850, Courchevel 1650 Courchevel 1550 and Courchevel 1300.

The skiing and snowboarding terrain in the Meribel Valley features steep powder filled pistes, tight chutes and natural gullies, fast mogul runs, plus 150 kms of long linking groomed trails and beginner runs. Meribel offers plenty of accommodation solutions, with four separate Villages located at different altitude levels.

Finally, Val Thorens is truly exciting and suitable especially for advanced skiers, although there are also some gentle areas for beginners. All the terrain is above the tree line and serviced by a fast and efficient lift system. The stunning Val Thorens Village is the highest skiing and snowboarding village in Europe. It is a pedestrian only village with entirely ski in ski out accommodation in hotels, chalets and self-catering apartments.

Besides skiing and snowboarding, other activities you may enjoy at Les 3 Vallees include snow shoeing, hiking, winter walking tracks, ice skating, snowmobiling, paragliding and scenic flights.

With one ski pass you can access to the entire Les 3 Vallees area. The great thing is that you can cover the entire skiing and snowboarding terrain without having to remove your skis or snowboard, except for accessing the gondola and cable car.

One week in Les 3 Vallees would not be enough to enjoy it at its best. You need many weeks just to scratch the surface of the magnificent terrain. So start packing your bag, the opening is scheduled for next month!
