Naples: Takes only a little to fall in love!

Naples, a magical city, overlooking a magnificent bay, where every alley, every square, every street has a story to tell. Naples, a pearl of the sea, full of contradictions and life, colors and scents. Naples, a city that you will surely love.

Naples is one of the most beautiful cities of the Mediterranean Sea, one of the oldest and most rich in history. To fall in love with Naples is as easy as falling in love with a beautiful woman who has all the best qualities: beauty, intelligence, grace and joie de vivre, gaiety, but also a dark and magical side to discover, a shadow of sadness that makes you want to rock this woman, this city, in a big and sensual hug.

Naples is the birthplace of Totò, the actor-man who can make you laugh and cry simultaneously. It is the city of pizza … and that’s nothing small. It is the city of mozzarella … without it, it’s just not pizza. Naples is the city where the great poet Leopardi found out to be a philosopher and where now he lays to rest.

Naples never sleeps; the streets are crowded night and day, bars and restaurants work shifts until the morning. Naples, protected and threatened by its gentle giant, the Vesuvius. Naples, you leave it and you are immediately in Sorrento, Pompei, and in particular Capri and Ischia, islands of dreams and adventures. Naples, where the Maschio Angioino dominates on one side the sea and the town hall square on the other.

Naples, with its villas and palaces, villa Rosebery, Palazzo Reale in Piazza Plebiscito, the Reggia di Capodimonte. Naples, the city of alleys, where the myths of Maradona and the Christmas Nativity coexist, where tourists always hope to hear the sound of a mandolin and the voices of the sciuscià, the shoeshine boys, but where from time a full life is lived, made up of men and women who work and love their children.

Naples… it’s so easy to fall in love with you. And also dangerous: because then, as a tourist, we have to let you go. As a fancy-free woman who wants to be loved.

My Nikon D300 camera is always with me, and it helps me in sharing my life with the rest of the world. Getting in touch with new people, different life styles and foreign traditions, and write about it, is all I can ask for.
