I chose option #2, and as I\u2019ve ridden down coastal highway, AH1, on my 110cc Honda Win, I\u2019ve seen some pretty spectacular sights. Here are the Top 5 places that you definitely shouldn\u2019t miss on your trip to Vietnam. Some are well known, some are a little off the beaten path\u2026all are worth the trip!<\/p>\n<h2>The 5 Sites You Shouldn\u2019t Miss Along The Way!<\/h2>\n<h4>Hai Van Pass, between Da Nang and Hue<\/h4>\n<p>There\u2019s a reason the Hai Van Pass regularly pops up on lists of best highways around the world. It is one of the most unique and mind-blowingly beautiful stretches of highway I have ever seen.<\/p>\n<p>The motorcycle ride on the Pass is just as exciting as the views. There are hairpin turns and huge lorries overtaking you at very inopportune moments, which may be off-putting to some, but believe me, the views are well worth it.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_7857\" style=\"width: 630px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-7857\" class=\"wp-image-7857 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.traveleurope.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/vietnam-motorcycle-travel-1.jpg\" alt=\"vietnam-motorcycle-travel-1\" width=\"620\" height=\"350\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.traveleurope.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/vietnam-motorcycle-travel-1.jpg 620w, https:\/\/blog.traveleurope.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/vietnam-motorcycle-travel-1-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 620px) 100vw, 620px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-7857\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">An overcast day makes for some cloudy riding, but the view is still just as incredible.<\/p><\/div>\n<h4>Sa Pa<\/h4>\n<p>The terraced rice paddies in Sa Pa are legendary for their photographic appeal, but there are many other parts of Sa Pa that make it worth the trip North.<\/p>\n<p>While the main city is quite touristic, you can easily find a family that will take you for a trek of one or two days with food and housing included. Jump at the chance! Some incredible nature happening right there!<\/p><\/div>\n<h4>Bai Xep, a fishing village near the city of Qui Nhon<\/h4>\n<p>It is likely that this hidden gem of a fishing village will become overrun with tourists quite soon, so come experience the perfect, calm waters of these unspoiled beaches and the friendliness of local people before it\u2019s too late!<\/p>\n<p>Stay at Life\u2019s A Beach hostel and spend the day swinging in a hammock with your favorite book before enjoying a local family-style dinner.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_7862\" style=\"width: 630px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-7862\" class=\"wp-image-7862 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.traveleurope.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/vietnam-motorcycle-travel-6.jpg\" alt=\"vietnam-motorcycle-travel-6\" width=\"620\" height=\"350\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.traveleurope.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/vietnam-motorcycle-travel-6.jpg 620w, https:\/\/blog.traveleurope.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/vietnam-motorcycle-travel-6-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 620px) 100vw, 620px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-7862\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">View from the quaint little hostel called \u201cLife\u2019s A Beach\u201d, where you can enjoy a beer for about 50 cents\u2026 the view is free!<\/p><\/div>\n<h4>Beach Road near Ninh Ma<\/h4>\n<p>There is a little peninsula that comes up along the AH1 and QL1A highways between Ninh Hoa and Tuy Hoa, two small coastal cities.<\/p>\n<p>Take a turn and follow the TL651 that intersects the AH1 and the QL1A in Ninh Ma, and you\u2019ll see some of the loveliest beaches in Vietnam. It\u2019s impossible to get lost, as it\u2019s just one road there and back from the coastal highway.<\/p>\n<p>There are newly paved roads and perfect stretches of sand. The absolute best mid-ride dip you\u2019ll ever take.
