King Carl Gustaf of Sweden is just one of the many regulars VIP guests in this town, known as the metropolis of the Alps. St. Moritz hosts numerous hotels<\/strong><\/a> and luxury shops, as well as several nursing homes, nestled in this mountain scenery between lakes and mountains.<\/p>\n

St. Moritz is bathed in sunshine for 322 days a year on average. During the summer, this beautiful resort is a perfect blend of nature, culture and sport, offering excursions to discover the flora and fauna in the area, the opportunity to practice sports ranging from paragliding to horse riding, and a variety of cultural events of all kinds.<\/p>\n

However, it is in winter that St. Moritz gives its best. St. Moritz is the cradle of winter tourism<\/strong>. Winter hikers <\/strong>will enjoy 150 km of paths, while the cross-country skiers visiting the Engadin can indulge on a network of tracks 180 km long.<\/p>\n

There are many tourist attractions<\/strong> in St. Moritz in addition to skiing and nature. The l<\/strong>eaning tower<\/strong><\/a> <\/strong>– the remains of the Church of St. Maurice, dating from the sixteenth century, or the Segantini Museum<\/strong> are excellent alternatives to combine luxury and jet set. Equally noteworthy are the surroundings of St. Moritz, such as the\u00a0Engadin Valley with Lake Sils, Lake Silvaplana, Lake Champf\u00e8r and Lake St. Moritz.
