Chamonix is situated in a beautiful valley surrounded by the spectacular French Alps and is considered the French capital of winter sports, while the summer is the best time for hiking in Chamonix. But what to do when the summer has just passed and winter is yet to come? Here are some tips to enjoy Chamonix before the fourth season of the year!<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Chamonix Mont-Blanc is a convenient destination for any kind of tourist, so you will find acceptable and moderate prices whatever your expectations. The availability of hotels in Chamonix<\/strong><\/a>, restaurants, clubs and pizzerias is quite large with rates to suit the needs of all travelers, especially in this time of year.<\/p>\n

Many of the attractions of Chamonix are enjoyable especially in the more temperate seasons. Outdoor activities like trekking and climbing<\/strong>, for example, allow to stay in contact with the surrounding nature. Paragliding<\/strong><\/a> is a sport increasingly popular, even among non-professionals, so that Chamonix is is gradually filling up with paragliding schools as well. The favored launching point are Le Br\u00e9vent, Les Grands Montets and the Aiguille du Midi.<\/p>\n

The nightlife of Chamonix<\/strong> is very lively, thanks to the presence of many bars and clubs, night clubs, a casino, theaters and cinemas. Chamonix offers plenty of opportunities to have fun in the evening, in any season, just like in a great metropolis.<\/p>\n

Interesting events<\/strong> will take place in Chamonix in these months, here are a few: Parcours photographiques Cultural – Saturday October 22, 2011, where you get the opportunity to observe, photograph and admire the quaint hamlets of the Chamonix valley, Montroc, Les Frasserands, Tr\u00e9lechamp; Bourse des Cristaliers Jumble sale – Sunday October 23, a one- day event that brings together members of the crystal collectors club who wish to sell Alpine minerals; Tchook.os Exhibition \u2013 already taking place and until December 1, featuring graphic designs on canvas hand sewn by sculptor and painter ‘Tchook. os’; and do not miss, finally, the regular March\u00e9<\/strong>, a typical market on Place du Mont-Blanc every 15 days – the next will be on October 22.<\/p>\n

A few words should be devoted to the Queen activity of Cham, as it is called by aficionados: skiing. Chamonix is a Mecca for mountain enthusiasts<\/a><\/strong>, and offers an incredible variety of trails of all levels in different sites. According to the latest updates, subject to change depending on the weather, the ski season in Chamonix<\/strong> opens officially on December 3<\/strong> this year.<\/p>\n
