Just 7 miles south of the airport of Malaga<\/a><\/strong>, Torremolinos is located between Malaga Bay and the scenic mountains of the Sierra de Mijas. Very popular among those who choose the Costa del Sol<\/strong> as a destination for holidays, Torremolinos<\/a><\/strong> has deeply modernized in recent years, becoming even more attractive, with its beautiful beaches and a vast choice of activities.<\/p>\n

Every year, thousands of tourists choose this city and its beaches for their holidays, and how to blame them: excellent infrastructure and a promenade with bars, restaurants, shops and all services at the disposal of vacationers.
\nTorremolinos has 4 main beaches<\/strong>, all connected by trails and boasting scenic views. Here you can enjoy all kinds of water sports, from windsurfing and kite surfing to water-skiing and pedal boats, and take pleasure from the several beach bars – called chiringuitos, where you can have refreshing drinks and ice-creams throughout the day.<\/p>\n

Los Alamos beach<\/em> is located in the most secluded area of Torremolinos. The dark sand color of this urban beach is due to its volcanic origin. It\u2019s not very wide, so perfect for quiet days without too much crowd, and it\u2019s fully equipped with showers, bathrooms, facilities for disabled and rental of beach umbrellas and hammocks.<\/p>\n

Playamar – El Retiro<\/em> is the fourth beach along the coastal town of Torremolinos, very popular and providing good services, as well as a large number of beach bars and some shopping malls in close vicinity. In addition to this, you can easily reach it by walking, given its proximity to the town centre. The pedestrian <\/strong>shopping street that leads from the beach to the centre is Calle San Miguel, a great place to enjoy some healthy shopping!<\/p>\n

The beach of El Bajondillo<\/strong> is another famous and very popular beach of Torremolinos and provides access for disabled guests, as well as other services of all kinds. El Bajondillo is renowned especially for the famous lift leading directly on the beach from the nearby hotel. The water, washed by the currents of the Strait of Gibraltar, it is quite cold here.<\/p>\n

The beach of La Carihuela<\/em> is definitely the most famous beach in Torremolinos. It offers services of all kinds and on the waterfront there are numerous bars, restaurants and chiringuitos. The beach stretches for two kilometers and is known for being very clean and welcoming.<\/p>\n

Adding to all this even the pleasure of being greeted by wonderful people and great food – especially seafood specialties, the desire to spend a holiday in Torremolinos gets even bigger. And don’t be surprised when you find out that many of the inhabitants of this ancient fishing village, have decided to leave fishing to devote their work to tourists reception!<\/p>\n
