Holidays are made for fun, to relax, to share pleasant moments with whom we love. Among these there are also our pets. But we are often forced to rely on a friend or animal pension because they cannot come with us.<\/p>\n

However, following some useful tips, and choosing the right destination, even our pets can come on holiday with us. UK is one of the most pet friendly places on earth!<\/p>\n

All those wishing to travel to the United Kingdom for the holidays and want to bring also their pet, simply need to learn about procedures and choose the right places to spend a nice holiday.<\/p>\n

Things to do before you leave<\/strong>
\nFirst of all, make sure your pet has received all vaccinations and Microchipping. Regarding transportation of pets, the British authorities have stated that it is possible to enter the UK exclusively through some specific routes and transport companies. For more information and updates you can contact the PETS Helpline. <\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Lodging<\/strong>
\nOf course, you will need to find a pet-friendly hotel<\/strong> to stay at. There are hotels where animals are simply allowed, but others, who will provide your pets with all the comforts they need, just like real guests! Even if you have to pay a little more for this, won\u2019t you agree that our friends deserve the second option?<\/p>\n

Getting around<\/strong>
\nYes you can take your dog or cat on buses or trains in the UK! Just make sure they are secured with a lead or in a carry box<\/strong>. Obviously you must take care of the conditions of your pet yourself, to avoid disturbing others.<\/p>\n

Things to do during the day<\/strong>
\nIn the UK you can also easily find places to visit and where to eat and relax, where your pet is welcome too. For example you can go to the beach \u2013 i.e. Calgary Bay in Scotland and Danes Dyke in Yorkshire, or decide to have a drink at one of the many pet friendly pubs in the UK<\/strong> – such as Lord Nelson<\/strong><\/a> in Southwold, Suffolk, or The King George IV Inn in Cumbria, England. And if you want to dine out, you can choose from many places all around the United Kingdom! Grassington, North Yorkshire, is a lovely vegetarian cafe where dogs are very welcome; Metrodeco & mdtea is in East Sussex and then there is a long list of venues in London<\/a><\/strong>, as the Queen’s Arms in Kensington, The Iron Duke in Mayfair, The Uxbridge Arms <\/strong>in Notting Hill <\/strong>or the Royal George in Soho.<\/p>\n
