The Langhe, an area between the provinces of Cuneo and Asti in Piedmont, have always been an attractive tourist destination, home to many hotels, cottages, restaurants, bars and taverns.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The hilly Langhe<\/strong> area has a long tradition of festivals and fairs which especially in spring and summer attract tens of thousands of people. Also because traveling to those lands is always a good reason to sample the wines produced here in one of the hundreds of wineries, such as Barolo, Nebbiolo, Barbaresco, Barbera <\/strong>and Dolcetto<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

And how can we forget the legendary white truffle of Alba<\/strong>, star of the most unique cuisines in the world, or, perhaps less famous but more widespread, the hazelnut Tonda Gentile delle Langhe<\/strong>, used in industrial quantities by one of the most famous companies in the confectionery sector, the Ferrero<\/strong> in Alba.<\/p>\n

The Langhe, a tourist destination for food and wine but also for the artistic and cultural beauty of its landscapes and the presence of castles and monuments of extraordinary value. No coincidence that the Langhe have been declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO.<\/p>\n

As already said, in spring there are many events taking place in this area. One of the main is on April 10 and 11, in the historical centre of Cherasco<\/strong>, a flea market with more than 600 exhibitors. Between April 30 and May 1, in Nieve<\/strong> takes place ‘La Primavera del Borgo’ with wine and food events and markets. Do not miss ‘Vinum’, in Alba<\/strong><\/a>, from April 23 to May 1, with the presentation of new vintages of wine from the Langhe and Roero, another important wine area near the Langhe. In early April, in Castiglione Falletti<\/strong> ends the 2011 edition of ‘The great terroir of Barolo<\/strong>,” an event dedicated to the last vintage of the legendary wine. Still in Alba will be held the sixth edition of Bacco&Orfeo<\/strong>, a series of concerts of high artistic value combined with moments of knowledge and food and wine tastings.<\/p>\n
