Fairs to suit every taste, in May

May is a month particularly rich of fairs throughout Europe. You will find all categories of businesses, from tourism to mechanics, from culture to alternative energy sources.

In Padua, on May 4 and 5, you can enjoy Smau Business, a show dedicated to Information Technology. In this year’s edition large space is devoted to the integrated management of information and business processes for companies, computer security and the use of pay-per-use softwares. In Cologne, from May 8 to 10 will be held GTM, Germany Travel Mart, a trade fair of tourism and travel. The 2011 edition focuses on health and wellness, with links to two events that are going to characterize the German summer: the 125° anniversary of the invention of automobile and women’s FIFA World Cup 2011, from June 26 to July 17.

From April 30 to May 8, at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence, the craft will be on display at the 75th edition of ART, the International Crafts Fair. Also ART will be an opportunity to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Unification of Italy, with a “Tour of Italy’s high-level craft”, involving all regions, but also many foreign exhibitors. From May 12 to 15, at the Fiera di Rimini will take place RiminiWellness, one of the most important European events dedicated to fitness, wellness and sports which this year, as big news, is accompanied by Thermalia, a spa tourism show, and the third edition of RiabiliTec, dedicated to science and technologies for rehabilitation.

In Düsseldorf, Germany, from May 12 to 18, will take place Interpack, an important event on the chain wheel of packaging, which this year will focus on the theme of “Quality of life” and behavior of consumers: packaging and in relation to health, identity , simplicity and aesthetics. At the prestigious headquarters of the Lingotto Fiere in Turin, from May 12 to 16 will be held the International Book Fair, which this year will occupy also the Oval area, a new multi-purpose indoor facility.

At the Vicenza Fair, from May 21 to 25, it’s time for Charm, an exhibition of goldsmith, jewelry and watches, an event that attracts the best Italian and foreign manufacturers: an entire area will be set up like a real fashion district. In Frankfurt, May 24 to 26, the hospitality industry will gather around Imex. There are many novelties for the 2011 edition, with the participation of new exhibitors from around the world, large international groups and the Wild Card Winners, a free space devoted to three new locations that have recently expanded their tourism offer: Mongolia, Budva in Montenegro and Jurmala in Latvia.
